I FINALLY DID IT!!!

Well, this is it. After much encouragement (Rox), I actually started a blog. Not sure where to go with this (or where it will go) but here it is. Warts and all.


About the title.....I haven't a clue. It just kind of came to me. I guess this is about me opening up about my world as I see it and the fingerprints of life that others leave on me. Sometimes the fingerprints only show up when the light shines. Maybe I will leave my fingerprint on others as well.


I have a mostly wonderful husband of twenty-five years next month, two sons, a step-daughter living in another state, two dogs, a cat and a cockatiel. Yes, I live in a zoo. I have declared that nothing else comes in to this home that eats or poops. We thought a few months ago about trying to lessen our pet population. You know the rule....last one in, first one out. But how do you get rid of someone that whistles at you every time you walk in the room? Man, I love that bird!


Just like everyone else, I have had and have my smorgasbord of issues. Sometimes stuff just stinks. I find myself both anticipating, yet really apprehensive at the same time, of what the next day, weeks, months will bring. For instance: my husband lost his job a few weeks ago. Guess what! We're leaving in about 1 week and a half for a week long vacation in a fabulous resort in Mexico. That just seems nuts!!! But man do we need the vacation and it was already paid for. We are celebrating our anniversary which, after all, is something to celebrate. On a brighter note, hub is out of town right now on an interview trip that looks really promising. Maybe good news tomorrow or next week!


Oh well, I've rambled a little tonight on this first post. Maybe I will get to know others through this and they will get to know me. Maybe I will get to know me better, too.
